If you are unable to reach the administrative interface used by Vilfo, it may be caused by one of several issues.
Make sure Vilfo is plugged in correctly and turned on
If Vilfo is not powered on or if it is not plugged in correctly, you will be unable to reach the administrative interface. Please refer to Physical setup for instructions on how to properly connect Vilfo.
Connect to Vilfo's network
In order to reach the administrative interface Vilfo uses, you need to be connected to Vilfo's network. This can be done by either connecting a network cable (if your device has a network port) from your device into the LAN port on your Vilfo, or by connecting to Vilfo's wireless network. By default, this network is simply called VILFO.
Incorrect DNS servers
In order to reach the administrative interface through admin.vilfo.com, you need to use Vilfo as a DNS server. Most devices use the router as their default DNS unless manually changed. If you are unable to reach admin.vilfo.com but are able to reach the administrative interface by entering Vilfo's IP address (by default: 192.168.0.1) directly into the URL bar of your browser, your device is likely not using Vilfo as standard DNS. If that is the case, you should change the DNS servers used by your device to Vilfo's.
If you have changed the subnet Vilfo uses, you may be required to restart your device before you are able to reach the Vilfo administrative interface.
If you have another router plugged in before Vilfo, it is possible both devices are trying to use the same subnet. Try to unplug the WAN cable from Vilfo, if you are able to reach the administrative interface now, you likely need to change the subnet used by Vilfo.
By default, Vilfo uses 192.168.0.1. If you need to change the subnet Vilfo use, you can find detailed instructions under Changing the subnet used by Vilfo.
If none of the above solutions work for you, it is possible that you have to perform a factory reset. Please refer to the Factory reset article on instructions how to perform a factory reset.
